Reading
All children should have class books to read. If they have read these in three different ways (read the pictures, read the words, retell the story) they can choose a 'good fit' book from home to practise with.
Spelling
Our word of the week is fight. Like last week's word, words that rhyme with fight aren't always spelt the same way. Today we saw that the end sounds in kite and fight, night, might and delight are spelt differently.
Maths
It's great to see so many children practising on Mathletics at home. Some days I'm scrambling to keep up with new tasks for them! The basic skills they are practising are helping in the classroom. I'm also planning class time so all children get time on Mathletics during the week.
